The history of the kite is about 300 years old. Also, it is the oldest form of airplane. It originated / invented in China about 300 years ago. During the Han Dynasty (2000 BC to 200 AD), the Chinese army used to attach bamboo tubes to the kite. The passage of the wind through the pipes produced a hiss that caused the enemy troops to panic and flee. So, kites played an important role in the classical Chinese army.
Kite is named after a beautiful bird. The name “kite” comes from the funny and flying bird, the kite. It is the combination of many things. Kites can be made of paper, light wood, leaves, cloth, and other lighter materials such as synthetics, plastics, nylon, fiberglass, etc. Bamboo, light wood, aluminum, and reeds can be used to make the kite frame. The frame of the kite is the most important and dependent factor. Another more important ingredient is the rope or line (known locally as a manja). Cotton is the most suitable ingredient to make rope or thread, although nylon and polyester can also be used. However, nylon and polyester are comparatively dangerous and are also banned in Pakistan. More popularly, kites are flown for recreational, scientific research, and military purposes.
Flying kites is not important to everyone, however, it is definitely something that we enjoy and that we can relate to in many ways. Parents buy kites for their children on vacation. Some of the kites are so big and are shaped like sharks and snakes. These kites have really long tails that also move in the wind. Recently, there has been a revival of kite festivals everywhere. One can see fascinating colorful kite designs of various shapes and sizes during these festivals. Some of the countries like Pakistan, China, Japan, India and Thailand have festivals of this kind with regular kissing. These have led to innovations in kite design such as the box, bow, delta, and dragon, etc. His lovers have established clubs and organize kite flying competitions.
Behind the kite technique
It is interesting to know how kites fly. The combination of force, resistance and gravity keeps you in the air. You must fly in such a way that your angle against the wind, called the angle of attack, provides maximum lift to overcome both drag and gravity. The angle of attack can be controlled by one or more short lines called flanges. Flying a kite is so easy and amazing. The wind picks it up in the air quickly. If there is enough string to drop, the kite goes as high as it wants. It became a bit more difficult to control in midair because the wind kept it pulling. It was so peaceful watching him sway back and forth in the breeze.
Flying kites is really everyone’s sport in Pakistan. It is quite inexpensive and one does not have to depend on special playing fields or even a team to enjoy it. Like the free flight of imagination, dreams, aspirations, and ambition, kite flying releases the instinctive desire to fly high in the sky.
